Ordering
You can order products easily and securely from our online shop. The products are ordered by adding them to the shopping cart and paying for them at the checkout. Order confirmation takes place at the checkout during the final stage of the order. All orders are confirmed in an email, which includes the order price, shipping costs and the products ordered. You must provide an email address when placing your order to receive the order confirmation. The confirmation contains important information about your order, which you should keep. The customer agrees to the valid terms of delivery with each order.
If there are errors in delivery times or other matters, we reserve the right to make changes to them subsequently. In such cases, we contact the customer and inform them of the changes. The customer has the right to change or cancel the order at that time.
Products and prices
The prices of the products are presented in connection with the product presentations. All prices are quoted in euros (EUR). The prices charged include value added tax. Shipping costs will be added to the price at checkout. Koskisen Oyj reserves the right to change the products, technical information and prices on the website, as well as the right to correct any significant errors in product pricing and errors that occurred during the input of product information.
Terms of delivery and returns
The normal delivery time for an order is usually approximately two (2) to ten (10) business days, depending on the country of delivery. If the ordered product is no longer available, we will notify you by email. We aim to ship all orders in one shipment, but in exceptional cases, the products may be delivered in multiple shipments.
The shipping fee is determined based on the effective price list. The fee depends on the country from which you are placing the order. If your country is not on the list, please contact us directly at webshopthinply@koskisen.com, and we will arrange the shipping separately.
The package will be delivered to the nearest pickup point based on your postal code if the pickup point is not selected. The pickup point information is included in the arrival notice that will be sent to you.
If you do not accept the delivery from Koskinen or if you fail to pick up your product from the freight carrier’s terminal within 14 days, the product will be returned. As the customer, you are obligated to pay the freight for the return.
The customer is always informed of any delivery delays. The customer has the right to cancel the order if the delivery is significantly delayed. Koskisen has the right to refuse compensation to the customer for a delayed delivery.

Terms of withdrawal
In our operations, we apply the terms of withdrawal pertaining to distance selling in accordance with mandatory consumer protection legislation when the customer is in the position of a consumer. A trade customer does not have the right of withdrawal. According to the Consumer Protection Act, the customer has the right to cancel the order without giving a reason by notifying Koskisen Oyj within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product ordered. The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been modified according to the customer’s specifications or, where applicable, to other products mentioned in Section 16, Subsection 1 of Chapter 6 of the Consumer Protection Act. The customer is responsible for the return freight for transactions cancelled based on the right of withdrawal.
You can also cancel the order before the product has left our warehouse. In this case, please contact our customer service at webshopthinply@koskisen.com as soon as possible.
The right of withdrawal and sale on approval are subject to the following: First notify our customer service at webshopthinply@koskisen.com of your withdrawal within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product, and return the product to Koskisen Oy within fourteen (14) days of submitting the withdrawal notification. Returns should be sent to: Koskisen Oyj, Thin Plywood Industry, Otavantie 395, 52550 Hirvensalmi, Finland. The product subject to the right of withdrawal must be returned to Koskisen Oyj unused, unchanged and in the condition in which the customer received it. The product must be packed in its original packaging or in a similar manner. When exercising the right of withdrawal, the customer is responsible to Koskisen Oyj for any decrease in value of the product subject to the withdrawal notice as a result of improper handling or use of the product other than checking the general functionality, characteristics, or nature of the product. In these situations, Koskisen Oyj is entitled to deduct an amount corresponding to the decrease in the product’s value from the payment to be refunded to the customer. The return must not include broken packaging, and partial returns are not accepted. The customer bears the costs arising from the return.
Please pack and pad the return shipment carefully. Include your contact information and the order number or alternatively a copy of the shipping document that came with the package.
We aim to process refunds immediately once we have physically received the returned product. However, refunds will be processed within the statutory fourteen (14) days from when the notice of withdrawal was received. You will receive an email notification when your return has been checked and processed.
Monetary transactions related to returns are managed by Klarna.
Failure to pick up an order is not considered a return. Orders that have not been picked up by the customer and which are returned from the pickup point are not considered as returns. In these cases, we will deduct a sum corresponding to the order’s shipping costs from the refund sum as expenses caused by the uncollected order.

Taxes and duties
The prices of products include value added tax. The tax breakdown is presented in the shopping cart and in the order confirmation. The invoice includes value added tax in accordance with the value added tax act in force at the time of invoicing.
The buyer bears any additional costs arising from changes in value added tax and other taxes. The buyer is also responsible for any payments that may be later determined by authorities, such as customs duties.
Liabilities, insurance and transportation
The seller is responsible for arranging the transport of the products referred to in this agreement at the buyer’s expense and ensures delivery to the location indicated by the buyer. The beneficiary is the seller. The Buyer assumes liability for product risks once the goods have been delivered to the agreed location.
Liability for defects and damages
Koskisen’s starting point is that the ordered product is as agreed, and we always strive to sell flawless products.
Koskisen’s liability for defective products in relation to consumer customers is determined by mandatory consumer protection legislation.
Koskisen’s liability for defects in relation to trade customers is limited to Koskisen, at its sole discretion, either rectifying the defect at its own expense, replacing the defective product with a flawless new product, or refunding the purchase price paid for the defective product. The customer must return the defective product at the expense of Koskisen Oyj and in accordance with its instructions.
Koskisen’s liability for damages to the customer caused by the product is limited to direct damage.
The product information is based on extensive testing, but is for guidance only and is not binding on us. We reserve the right to make any changes. Defects not clearly related to the production or delivery of the product are the user’s responsibility. The maximum amount of compensation equals the value of the defective product. The manufacturer is not responsible for the improper use of the product. The product’s suitability for the intended application must be verified with the manufacturer.
If the product is lost or damaged during transport or does not otherwise meet your order, you must report the defect in writing to the address mentioned in the section ‘Terms of withdrawal ’ or by calling the phone number listed in the contact information within fourteen (14) days. If the package is clearly damaged during transport, you must immediately file a complaint with the freight carrier.
Koskisen Oyj is not liable to the customer for any indirect or consequential damages.
Inspections and claims
A trade customer must, unless otherwise agreed, inspect the goods upon receipt and submit any possible written complaints about the defect of the goods without delay, but no later than eight (8) days after receiving the goods.
A consumer customer must submit a complain about a product defect within a reasonable time from when they noticed or should have noticed the defect. A complaint can always be submitted within two months from when the buyer noticed the defect.
Force majeure
Koskisen is not liable for damage caused by force majeure. Such force majeure events include unforeseen events or circumstances that Koskinen could not have influenced through its actions and that cannot be reasonably resolved. These include, among other things, actions or negligence by authorities, new or amended legislation, labour disputes, war or the threat of war, fire, explosion, flood, natural disaster, or major accidents. Koskisen is obligated to inform the customer of any force majeure events as soon as possible.
Applicable law and settlement of disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law, without regard to its choice of law provisions.
Koskisen primarily aims to resolve through negotiation any disputes regarding these terms that may arise between the company and the customers of the online shop.
However, a consumer customer always has the right to bring disputes regarding these terms before the Consumer Disputes Board (https://www.kuluttajariita.fi/en) for resolution. Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer customer must contact the consumer advisory services provided by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-affairs/consumer-advisory-services).
In addition to the aforementioned dispute resolution bodies, consumer customers have the right to file a complaint and seek dispute resolution methods other than court proceedings on the European Online Dispute Resolution website (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr ). In the relationship between Koskisen and the consumer customer residing in Finland, the primary alternative dispute resolution body is, however, the Consumer Disputes Board.
Notwithstanding the above, the consumer customer may file a lawsuit against Koskisen Oy regarding disputes arising from the debt relationship created by these terms either in the district court of Koskisen’s domicile or in the district court of the municipality in Finland where the consumer customer resides.
If disputes regarding these terms arising between Koskisen and a non-consumer, i.e. a trade customer, cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the dispute shall be finally settled in the district court of South Savo in accordance with Finnish legislation.
